How are you related to the Dargues?  Would be good to know.

Yes I have lots of Leathley in my tree.  Martha Ann Leathley (b. 1851) was Alberts mother.  She married Jacob Dargue.  I will contact Hull as soon as I can.

Thanks

It may be.  I am not sure at all but it looks possible.

The informant on his death certificate is E. A Rosen who I think is the lady he ran off with.  This person lived at the same address.

Thanks

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) / Can't find a burial for Albert Ernest Dargue

I am coming back to this after several years of leaving it alone hoping something has appeared in the interim.  My gt. grandfather Albert Ernest Dargue died in Hull in 1938.  He died on January 1st at 5 Durham Street.  He had left his wife and family and had returned to the town of his birth with his new lady friend.  His children were told by their mother that he was dead after he left.  I expect this was to save face.

I have not been able to find out where he was buried or if he was cremated.

Could anyone please help close this search for me please.

Thanks

My father is William (Billy) Clark.  He is the grandson of Thomasina.  I have the whole or my dads Garbutt family tree which has taken me a decade to compile.  Thomasina was a Garbutt in marriage as well as maiden name.  She married her fathers cousin.  If you send me your  email address I will send you a copy of what I have.

Regards

My grandmother was Francis Lillian Dargue and was born October 1912 at the above address.  Her parents were in South Shields in the 1911 so I cannot even look on that for the address.  There are no other family in that area that I have found so far.  I have her birth certificate and this is the address it gives.  Registration district is Chester-le-Street

Thanks
