Hi Jim1

All I know about Albert Dennis Wilson (the guy on the left in the other photo I posted):
Attestation Year 1918
Cabinet Maker (Apprentice)
Service Number 247064

Know nothing about the guy on this photo. might be a relative of Albert, but beginning to doubt now. Could be a good friend. In that case it's probably impossible to find out who he is.....

thank you, although he seems very young to have served overseas at age 17 or 18 (if he's Douglas James Houghten)

Hi TreeTotal: thanks for your reply

Hi SiGr: thanks for the info. Since both men were born 1899/1900 they seem a bit young to be active in WWI, but it's possible I guess.
I posted another photo of the man on the left, and someone replied that he served overseas, do you agree with this conclusion ?

shaunJ thank you

Jim1 what is MIC ? And why do you think he served overseas ?
I'm not sure about his name. On the other photo I posted is written on the back with love from Dug & Den.
The one on the right is definately Albert Dennis Wilson.
Looking at the family tree there's only one Douglas. Agewise the same age as Dennis Wilson.
Dennis born 1899 and Douglas born 1900.

Looks like the same uniform to me on the other photo. But I'm no expert.

Thank you.

Hi all,

I would like to know from which  time in the 20th century this uniform is and if it's Army or Air Force.

Thank you for your time.

well well,

going through my paper copies of the censuses I have, I saw that on the census 1911 Benjamin says he had 4 children (that would be Alice, Thomas, Ellen and .... Sarah ?) of which just 1 was alive in 1911.
So that would support the idea of Ellen having a twinsister.

That would also mean that Mercy had a fifth child, but obviously not with Benjamin !

jonw65 it's ok, no worries. thanks anyway

lady hawk: I know about Thomas and Ellen, not Sarah. Could well be her twinsister. thank you

Then we would have Alice, Thomas, Ellen and Sarah. The question is when and where was the 5th child born. And which child was alive census 1911.
Thomas not
Sarah Not
No clue if Alice or Ellen was alive. Will have to look into that.
I wonder if Mercy was telling the truth about 5 children of which 4 had died by 1911....
