thanks for your quick reply. I already have a copy from the London Gazette. Want to know when and where he served. Live in the Netherlands so it's not possible for me to visit any local library. He was from Dorking.

Hi,
Found John Windley (from Chigwell essex abt. 1842) in the 1871 census: Private RMS I (what does this mean?). Was he on the Pylades? Could anyone tell me when he joined the RN and when he left?

Can anyone tell me when Sapper James William Windley, 165786 (from Dorking) served with the R.E. in WWI? When and where? I know he was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in the field.

could you look up these men:
Robert Wilson (1841 Highwood Essex) Railway Labourer at Shorne Kent (1881, 1891 and 1901) But also 1871?
Albert Thomas Wilson (1866 Higham Kent) worked also for the SER (somewhere between 1882 and 1898?).

Hi,
looking for Robert Wilson from Highwood essex (Writtle) census 1861. I found him in the 1841 and 1851 census in writtle essex living with his parents (Thomas and Rebecca) and brothers/sisters. Found him in the 1871 census in Shorne Kent with his family (wife Sarah Jane, nee Stirrups and his children Albert, Alice and Eveline). He was a Railway Labourer. Thanks you for your time.

looking for george Windley, his wife Hannah (and their children) in the 1861 census. They lived in Chigwell census 1851. Hannah still lived in Chigwell census 1871 (widowed). Names of children: mary Ann, george, Sarah, John. thank you for your time.
