I believe Doris and Flossie are the blanked out names along side Albert at the address at Midhurst.
I periodically look for Avis under Nightingale. Yes I have looked using her married name (Cole)

My aunt Avis died 3 years ago, she would have been 15 and a half at the 1939 register. She wasnt at home with her parents and the other 3 children were evacuated to Midhurst from London. Albert died 2001 and is visible at Midhurst. Doris and Flossie died 2014 and 2015 and are not yet visible.  But really not sure where Avis was. Believe she became a nurse with Lord Mayor Treloars and that could be Alton or Hayling Island, Hampshire, but that doesnt mean she could have been some where else!

Thank you Rosie, i suspected that was why I couldn't find him.

Do you know how long after someone has died they may be found on the register?

Hi, My Uncle, born 1 Jan 1922 died 30 June 1996, has been impossible to find on the 1939 register. It is possible he may have enlisted as he served in the RA during WW2. Would that be a reason for not finding him?
Has anyone else encountered this?

Yes I had done that and that was why I had tried to contact Neil.
Names I am specifially looking for are Grace, Roger and Thomas Pellow, Grace Maddaford and Thomas and Joanne Walters.

As an aside, I note you have Squance on your name interest list. I am originally from Wilcove, Torpoint and I remember as a young person we had an older couple named Squance in the village.

Hi, I used the given link to send an enquiry in January and enquired again a few weeks later and didnt get a response. Neil has always been very helpful so I thought I'd ask here in case there was a problem. I was enquiring about any records for Pellow ( and varients)  and Walter  Particularly in Sourton.
