Does anyone have any knowledge of the parents of Charles Stuart Sussex Lennox? He was born in England about 1825-26.

He emigrated to America and married Louisa Agnes Homer around 1856.

They had children Grace, Bertha, Richmond, Ethel, Edith, Charlotte, Louisa.

His last census listing is in the 1920 Census for Orange, New Haven, Connecticut, aged 95, where he is living with daughter Louisa and her husband Alexander B Richard.

Thank you

Is there anywhere I might access the records of the Bromley St Leonards Poor Law Union from around 1823-1827? I am looking to find the Eliza Marshall listed below (from a Baptismal Record) who may or may not have an entry.

Mother's name:    Eliza Marshall

Moray (Elginshire) / Peter Cameron
« on: Tuesday 12 February 13 04:43 GMT (UK)  »
Would anyone have information on a Peter Cameron, probably born about 1820.  He was a mason and died before 1865, presumably in Moray.

He had an illegitimate son Robert Cameron, born about 1840, mother Jane ?.  Robert died in Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin in April 1865 from typhoid fever. The informant on his death certificate is his uncle Donald (I think) Cameron, who was living at the time at 222 High Street, Elgin.

Robert Cameron worked as a ploughman on the farm of one John Grant, Pitgaveny, although on the 1861 Census he is listed as what looks like Robert Gow.

Thank you.

Wiltshire / John Talbot & Sarah Mudge
« on: Thursday 12 April 12 06:36 BST (UK)  »
Trying to determine if  the John Talbot (1796- about 1876; parents Thomas Talbot & Margaret Young)  was in fact married to a Sarah MUDGE?

Children are Henry, Thomas, Charles, Emma, Ann, Mary, Hannah, Elizabeth, Nancy, Ruth, Stephen, Margaret, all (I think) born in Froxbridge through the years 1820-38.  Christening records state parents merely as John Talbot & Sarah...

Thank you

Surrey / James Childs & Harriet Norman

Trying to trace the Childs & Norman families.

James Childs (1820-1889), son of William Childs & Frances ?,  married Harriet Norman (1825-1904) somewhere about 1844, I am assuming in London.  They had three sons (that I know of), James Edward, born 1845 who emigrated to Australia about 1864/5;  Edward Charles born about 1848 and who married Ada Smith in 1874;  and Alfred born in 1850.

Somerset / William MILFORD/Sarah EMERY
« on: Monday 18 July 11 05:30 BST (UK)  »
Any information on William Milford, portmanteau maker, born abt 1823, Bath, died 1892, Bath and Sarah Emery, born abt 1824 in Shepton Mallet, died 1874 in Bath.

They married in Bath in 1858 and had nine children, Charlotte, Martha, Charles, Henry, Thomas, Elizabeth, James Emery, Sarah & Alice.

After Sarah's death he married a Jane ??? and there were at least two more children, Frederick & Clara.

I have found the family on the Census 1861 - 1891.
