Found a marriage for Lilian M Wood to Henry T Bean in the September Qtr of 1926 at Milton.

There are a number of Bean-Wood children born at Milton.

Hi Hayley,

Stephen Rossiter married twice. His first wife was Annie Ann Port who he married in 1863. His second wife was Dorcas Doreen Saxby who he married in 1884 so Emily has half-siblings as well as full siblings.

As far as I know Stephen and Dorcas had at least 5 children:-

Emily 1886
Stephen 1889
Edith 1890
Dorcas May 1899

I also have a Poppy Rossiter birthdate unknown but I suspect born between Edith and Dorcas. Not sure if Poppy is a real Christian name or a pet name but unable to find details at present.

Also wondered if the list of Wood children is a complete one as I also found a Stephen G Wood born in Milton in the same period as the others.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes

Hi Hayley,

I have some info on this Rossiter family. What info are you looking for?

Did a quick search on FreeBMD and found all the children's birth details apart from Lil's. Do you have her details please?

Found a Sidney Wood born 1885 in Milton. Could that be Emily's husband please?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi KGarrad,

Many thanks for that.
Have tried looking for a marriage Henry Rossiter and Ann (maiden name unknown) but have not had any suitable matches yet.
I'll keep looking. Hopefully, something may turn up.

Hi KGarrad,

Many thanks for that.

That definitely looks like the family. I knew John Arthur Rossiter married in 1886  but unfortunately not who he married so thanks for clearing that up.

Did a search for John Arthur Rossiter on the 1881 UK Census but strangely could not find him. I was hoping to find details of father Henry and use them to link back to their ancestors.

Is it possible to find John Arthur Rossiter with his parents in the 1871 Census please?

Thanks again for your help.

I am doing a one name study of the Rossiter family and am looking for information please about the the parents and  grandparents of John George Henry Rossiter born circa 1888 in Edmonton.

Father is believed to be John Arthur Rossiter born circa 1866 but I have no details about his mother.

Hi garstonite,

If you check FreeBMD your'll find two entries in 1867 for Frank Rossiter in 1867 in Blandford, one in the March Qtr and one in the September Qtr:-
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

The 1881 census shows Frank with his parents and siblings here:-
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/Census/household_record.asp?HOUSEHOLD_CODE=1881BR_2119203&HOUSEHOLD_SUB=1&frompage=99

If you have further information about George and Matilda Rossiter, I'll check them out in my database.

Hope this helps.

Hi Bootnob,

Glad to help. Found a marriage between a Donald J W Rossiter and Mary A Fowler in the September Qtr 1926 at Pontypridd. There's the possibility they may have had 3 children in the Crickhowell area.

I'd appreciate any new info you turn up as every new piece of information leads to new lines of enquiry.

If you have any further problems please let me know and I'll try to help you out.

I know what it's like to battle away trying to reconstruct a family tree as I do it all the time.

Please keep in touch as it's always nice to get a family tree as near as possible to the present day.

Good luck with all the new information.

Hi Bootnob,

There are legal restrictions on genealogy data like censuses and databases. If you know who Robert and Kenneth married I might be able to find their children if records permit.

I am researching Rossiters worldwide simply to ensure that as many lines as possible are researched and information is not lost.

Thanks for the offer re: photographs but my main focus is building up family tree structures though other relatives of your family might appreciate them.

Given that I receive new data every data I'll send you your  information a bit at a time if that's OK

As for Frances, she is listed in the 1901 census info posted higher up the thread. She is listed as 13 in 1901 hence born 1888 prior to the marriage in 1891. Not sure if she was illegitimate or the product of an earlier marriage by Frank or if I have the wrong marriage date or if she is the child of a relative.Any info you have would be greatly appreciated please.

Adelaide's siblings are listed above but I have no further info about them. If you know who they married I may be able to find more about them and their children.

Hope this helps.
