Family History Beginners Board / Tracing family from Belfast

Hi I wonder if anybody can help.

My grandad now deceased was born in Belfast, I think he was born 1922 ish but not 100%. I was wondering what free site if any I can goto to try and trace his mum & dad. All I know is that at some stage he came to be living in Brentford Middlesex where he married my nan in 1946.

Hi I wonder if anybody can help one of my relatives who was born in 1897 for some reason changed her surname is there any way I can find out why she died in 1965. We do not know when she changed her surname.

She was born Winifred Cox in Chelsea London. And then changed her surname to Grant. She also had a child that she gave uo for adoption.

Hi there

I wonder can anybody help I am trying to find the birth of my great nana Mary Frances Burns birth date unknown all the info I have is that in 1911 she married a William G Ware then in 1920 she marries my great grandad William Hale and they have my nana Rosina Agnes Hale.

I just cant find her at all in 1901 or 1911 any help would be great thank Ali

Oh 1st marriage was in Lambeth London 2nd marriage was Camberwell

Hi there

I am trying to trace a person called Daniel Moriarty born 1816 in Ireland. I have found him in the 1861 census living in Camberwell Surrey with his wife Ellen & other family members but I cant get there marriage or anything about him before 1851 as he was in Ireland. I would love to find Ellen maiden name out and was wondering how I can go about this. And would love to know what his dad was called also.

Hi there.

I wonder if anybody can help my friend was adopted back in 1976 now he has found out his real mother gave him a name and on find my past he can see the entry with the vol & page number but when he goes to order birth cert it wont let him as does not know mother 1st name. But I have just looked and underneath is this one is Adoption Certificate (England & Wales)A birth certificate in the post adoption name. So we was just wondering would this one give him his real mothers name or is this his adopted parents info on it if we ordered that cert.

Hi there

I have come to a dead end and stuck on going any further back. I am trying to trace a Sarah Winter before her marriage. All I have on her at the moment is that on her marriage cert is that she married my great great grandad Ephraim Crawley in 1894 in Lambeth London, her dad is down as Thomas Winter and at time of marriage he is deceased and down as a barman. She is down as being 26 at the time of her marriage.

Just 1 question I have been looking at the online parish records of marriages and next to the person I have been searching has O.T.P next to them and I cant see anywhere to say what the letters mean.
