Hi Liverpool Annie

Thanks for the reply, I did see that thanks. He wasn't married Kate was his mother but to get it corrected I need her birth and marriage certificate but can't get either, there was a family fall out as she was a rich farmer's daughter and he was the farm hand. She then died in child birth after 4 years of marriage and William and his two sisters were raised by Kate's sister so details of their parents are sketchy to say the least. I wonder where the CWGC got the details from ?

thanks again for the welcome and reply

Paul

Hi

I am also trying to find out about my Mother's uncle William Hogan who was in the 7th Bat Leinster Regiment and was killed on 20th July 1916. I would love to find out details such as where he enlisted and what happened him but have hit a blank wall. I did get a copy of his medal record from Kew but can't find anything else on him, Any suggestions would be great
