Thanks for the advice, I have looked further on and no luck.  Does anyone know why just this particular year 1902 is not on ancestry ?

Will check Ashbourne  :), I have checked the blackburn Jane Pickups and it is not mine ....... The family were living in Blackburn at the time of her birth but perhaps she had visited her family in Parwich......

Yes I kow its very weird, on most of the Census's she is logged as being born in Parwich, Derbyshire.  Its a very strange one.  I honestly do not know what to do next.

Baptism of Jane Pickup born circa 1865 in Parwich, Derbyshire.  (She may also come under the name Mary Jane)

Parents are John and Sarah Pickup.

I have looked everywhere to try and trace the birth or baptism of the above with no luck  ???

Any help would be most grateful.  I have found them on the 1871 Census and they have moved to Blackburn.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply  :) Yes we have also come across that with the numbers on the headstones and then of course there are many without.  I was just wondering if anyone had a theory as how to figure out the lines at Blackburn as I am sure I am not the first to have come across this  ???

After a trip to the UK last week, we spent quite some time in Blackburn Cemetery looking for ancestors.  I have a map of the cemetery and have mastered the art of finding the correction letter section to search but one thing is still confusing on earth do you work out which is which line number, for example D2011 (grave reg) line 4 grave 30.   Do the numbers of the lines start from the beginning of the letter group or the beginning of the land if there are more than one letter sections ?  And, counting the grave numbers is it from left to right or right to left ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
