You were right re Reeves (but it took me a lot longer to find that info than you did !

BUT I really need to find Thomas wife and his parents as my next break through.

By the way - I notice you live in Nottingham - I left there in 1981 for Canada. Will be visiting my son, who returned to marry a Nottingham girl, later this month.

You seem to be a very experienced genealogist. Now I have exhausted census 1841 and post 1837 stuff I am struggling!! There are just too many Thomas Abbots in Suffolk!

Family History Beginners Board / Death records

As a recent starter in genealogy and located in Canada I am finding ancestors via census records and have found some birth dates (at least qtr registered)  but having no success with and have no idea how to find death details.
Many of my ancestors were based in Ipswich, Suffolk and I know many were buried in Ipswich cemetery or St Margarets.
Is there an online search I can use?

e,g, I know Edward George Aylett b 1890 is buried in Ipswich Cemetery and died in 1950s> His wife Louisa Annie is probably in same grave early 60s but I have no dates

I am researching a Sarah Ann (Cook) Glanfield (born 1812 in Ipswich) who married Thomas Abbott (b 1802ish) iin 1833.
Children included Edmund, Thomas, sarah Ann, Abraham etc.

Any connection?

I have no further detail re Glanfields but have traced Abbott side well
