Hi everyone,
Has anyone seen or know of a book called Leicestershire People?
I do a lot of research for Leicestershire and have noticed on A****y someone has added photos of people I am researching and their source is this book.
I would be very interested in acquiring one, if any one can point me in the right direction I would be very gratefull

I'm trying to find a marriage of Samuel Redman born Cardington 1794. I think he may have married a Mary ?
There is a burial for Mary Redman Jan 1844 aged 44yrs and Samuel is on 1851 census in Cardington as a widower living with 3 daughters
The Redman's seem to have been the local carpenters.

Hi everyone,
Has anyone ever heard of Clandam in Leicestershire?.
I am researching  Rev John Goodacre on 1851 census he was minster of East Drayton in Nottinghamshire and gives his birth as abt 1789 Clandam Leicestershire and I'm a bit puzzled as to where this is.
Any advise or help would be much appreciated

I'm looking for a marriage for Benjamin Preston/Presson to an Ann or Amy about 1698. Their first child Joseph was baptized in Rothley in February 1700.
I have checked my copy of Rothley & Mountsorrel pr's and can't see anything, also Leicester Borough Marriages 1558-1753.
No idea where Ann/Amy came from?
Any help would be appreciated

Rutland Lookup Requests / Tobias Tomlin baptism please

I'm looking for a baptism for Tobias Tomlin/Tomblin about 1788 in Rutland.  There are various Tobias Tomlin's in the Great Casterton area but I can't see one baptized about 1788. I have found his death in Deeping St James Lincolnshire which gives his age as 68. And the earlist baptism there is 1818 which is I think is  one of his children after his marriage in 1817 to Rebecca Bollands.
Any help would be much appreciated
