I've just come across my post again from so long ago!

Thea settled in America and I have been in touch with her family there.  Thea died in USA as recently as1989.  According to them she never remarried so we wondered where the story had come from!  Then, we discovered a ship's manifest showing Thea on the ship as Mrs Van Elswick and one of the crew by that name.  So, we still have a mystery which may unravel in due course!

it just goes to show that we have to keep plugging away and more is revealed as more records become available!

Thanks again to all who helped with suggestions.

The Cornwall OPCs have a searchable database of Parish records at
http://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/ which may be of help to you.

From my research it seems that the Trudgians and Trudgeons are mostly descended from the Trrudgians in St Stephen in Brannel.  The spelling just seems to have changed over the years.

Best wishes

Mathilda Roulston b.1914 d.1960 was married to Robert Bo(a)gle.  I have her birth in a place called Menta in Co Donegal.  Does anyone please have information as to where this place may be?  She died at Ardmore, Muff.  Many thanks in anticipation.

Thanks very much for your help Leanne.  I shall look forward to following that up.

I remember Judy (as Joyce was known) dying but couldn't remember when it was.
My mother in law used to keep in touch - she died about 3 years ago and was Ronnie's youngest sibling.

Thanks again - Ellen

I'm Clare's mother and also trying to find out more about Ronald Jackson.  It may help to know that he was registered as Albert Herbert Jackson but married in 1939  as Ronald A. H. Jackson and was know in the family as Ronnie.  He is on the 1911 census without the Ronald.

Hope this may give more to go on and that someone may be able to help.

Happy New Year to all Rootschatters
