Hi

I must be doing something wrong!!  Going on your information, which does seem to fit
I'm going to send off for certs etc see what comes up.

Nellie married in London which makes me wonder why family moved from the Midlands area.

Might never solve mystery until the 1950 census is out- I will be a ripe age of aprox 90! lol

Hi

She was 21 yrs at time of marriage, both were born in 1917,
Witness don't help as they are Alberts family- his mother and brother

Her father is listed as Henry Hall, Deceased - Boiler maker

I can't make her address out, apart from C Square Bow- Cert not been looked after!  (Cousins Eh?)

I have tried usual routes but maybe I've missed something?

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me.

Looking for a Nellie Ellen Hall who married Albert Ernest Lawrence 1938 Poplar

I have traced the Lawrence side quite a way back.  I know both parties are dead.  My Aunt said Albert and Nellie divorced she didn't know when and that Nellie died having her teeth out at Wiltshire Hospital around 1977.

I have a membership for the site that must not be named, but nothing, only the marriage which I have a cert for.  >:(

Nellie must be somewhere, no birth, no family???

Any help as to where to look or maybe one of you super people could help, I would be grateful

Thanks
Sarah

OOh Thank you :-*

Have been looking for information on this branch as it seems George and his Sons were Boot & Shoe Manufacturers.  I think they must have been the most successful as one of George's brothers children (3 sons ) are in the workhouse in 1900.

I do know however, that Shoe making was common back then and as most of his brothers and Sons continued to be in the shoe making industry one way or another.  I was hoping that as George seemed to have his own business that I could find out quite a bit, shame our ancestors didn't realise that we would want lots of information lol

Thanks Again

Sarah

Hi

I hope I'm posting in the right place.

I just wanted to say that this is a very useful site and I have found the postings so interesting.

I have only been a member for a week or so and not only have I had quick replies to my queries but have become throughly addicted to others stories.

I particularly like Scavenger Hunt, useful for when researching your own tree.

Anyways Thank you

I have lots of census left overs which I shall upload soon which I hope will contribute.

Sarah :)
