Useful to know, and references to Tasmania convict records....formats...abbreviations...are not relevant.

Not awfully clear, but I read that to mean that a son has gone to New Zealand.
This reference to New Zealand is not about John BIRCH?.

Died 1906.....did he leave a young family?.   What happened next?....did his widow remarry?

If she did not remarry, how did widowed Sarah support her children?
