Armagh / Catholic burials Tandragee
« on: Tuesday 04 June 13 23:26 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,
I was passing through Tandragee today and decided to stop off at the RC church for a look around the graveyard on the off chance there would be any names I recognise. (I have an ancestor I can't trace later than the 1911 census).

It turns out there is no graveyard at the church  ::)  So, where were/are Catholics of the town buried?

Canada / Looking for info on great-uncle
« on: Monday 24 September 12 15:21 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for info on my great-uncle who emigrated from England to Canada sometime after WW2. I do not have much info other than he was married with no children, died some time around 2000 (+/- 5 years) and lived in the Toronto area. Where to start looking as I believe Canadian records are closed for quite a long time after death.

Technical Help / GRO certificate ordering insecure?
« on: Thursday 15 December 11 18:00 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
I've just went onto the GRO website to order a cert but I noticed the address line looks like this. I think this means it's unsafe to edit credit card details etc. Strange, as I've used the site many, many times and never seen this before. I'm using Google Chrome and Windows 7.

Armagh / Will Calender on PRONI site
« on: Monday 11 July 11 14:11 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
I've found my great-grandfather (John Hart, d. 1914 Armagh) on the Will Calendar section of the PRONI website. I see for some people it's possible to see an image of the actual will, whereas with my ancestor no image is available. It just gives details of who administration of the will was given to.
Does this mean there is no copy of the will existing any longer or is there another way I might be able to see it.
Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Staffordshire / Where is 'Bar' ?
« on: Thursday 09 June 11 01:37 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
I've found an ancestor on the 1871 census and his birthplace is given as 'Staffordshire, Bar' ? I can't seem to locate it and it's possible I am not reading it correctly.

Thanks in advance,
Kevin
