Hi

Apparently there was an Eileen or Irene and a Leslie that were called Aunt and Uncle by James children but my husbands not sure if they were related or not.
He thinks that William Brett died in wythamshaw area in 1950's, he definately wasn't alive in 1961

I have James birth certificate that states mother as Ethel Brett formerly Beddowes, James was born at 80 The Walks, Wrexham.  My husband doesn't know where about in the country  William was born, his father James moved to Nottingham at some stage because that is where all my husbands brothers were born.

As I can't find them on 1911 census as married a thought they must have married after 1911

I don't have anything else to go on to trace the family before 1915.

Only found out about birth name being Behn when going thru papers after his death when found the deedpoll which set about me trying to find out as much as possible, I have traced the Behn family back to 1825.

Just some gaps that I am now looking into 1911 census being one as to where they were living and with whom.

Harry Behn so I was told went to school in France/Belgium have nothing in writing to prove this, only that he was fluent in french, just thought it strange that a son of a sugar merchant should be sent abroad.

Thomas Leslie was asked about the family but said he and his brother were not close, only that his mother had a hard life with John Frederick Behn, who was a widower he had 8 child from a previous marriage

thanks for your help

There was an Anna Marie Skerratt as a witness to Rachel's wedding in1900. Rachel was born in 1871 in Hanley Staffs

Therefore it is a coincidence
