I would like to get a DNA test for my maternal great grandma and further back to find out where they were born, when married, children etc. as they moved around alot in England.  speaking to someone said it was difficult to understand reading the results and I am not a computer teckie nor can decifer alot of codes, numbers etc. Is there anyone who would be able to help me with the results? What is the exact information that is reported.  I am the last of my female family and no male relatives for Male DNA testing except for one   1st cousin and my deceased sisters sons. Would they be eligible for DNA on my male families side of my family
including my English and Danish (latter had surname changes in each generation) How may generatios back would the male DNA go as I know of 4 generations.

My Heritage site shows Maren born 1743, died 9 June, buried 12 June 1801 in Havnbjerg, Sonderborg.  I cannot find this place in Sonderborg..  PS I do not read or write Danish even with the help to decipher it.
My Records indicate Jens was born in Norre Vissing Veng Scanderborg and they both died in Boes, Aarhus. Jens 29 May 1811,and Maren born 1745, died abt 16 Dec 1806 Could someone help verify their dates of death,  & where buried. Son Rasmus Sorensen was born in N.Vissing Veng 20 June 1809 . There were 2 other girls, Maren Jensdatter born abt 1776/77 and Kirsten Marie born 2 May 1784. Any chance of obtaining information on the  2 girls, when married, to whom, where did they live and their children.  This is alot to ask and my appreciation is grate if able to help me with this. Thank you. Janet- anker-pep52

Crisane and Viktoria- Hi to both and thanks for your inputs, really appreciate it..  I also thought the spelling was off but perhaps that was the old version.  They did not have the health care in the early yrs. so I agree it must have been terribly painful.  My dad died in 1953 of Brights disease and several yrs ago a Dr. said he had never heard of it.  It is hardening of the arteries in the kidney, caused be chronic high blood pressure.
I hear you Veronika.  I also start things and end up doing something else.  Makes for an interesting day.

Carole W. Hi - Unfortunately the census' show the place where they are presently living but not the actual
birthplace of George Smith.  I only assume it was in Nottinghamshire as he was married there and stayed
in Notts.  Ex: his wife Harriet's brother and sister were born in Derbyshire then another brother was born
& died in Notts.    One record shows George as Labourer another as Shepherd.  ???  Janet

Would like to know where in Nottinghamshire, George Smith was born and what day/month in 1820?.
He was married in Worksop Priory, Notts., 10 May 1845 to Harriet Hartley born 1820 in Retford, Notts. They had 9 children.George died 28 July 1892, Randby, Notts. Your help is appreciated. Thank you  ankerpep_52 (Janet)

Miniehaha- Beside "Link to calendar" at bottom of page it shows "topic not completed" rather than topic completed.  Also I do not see a brown band.  However Spades has marked topic completed for me.
I will delete the emails now pertaining to this subject and if so does that delete them from these messages?  My apologies but I do find it all confusing.  Janet  (ankerpep_52)
