Good Morning

I am hoping someone can help with finding service details for Ivan McMeekin. He was born 1926 Antrim. I have a photo of him in a group dated 1951 Rope Climbing Exhibition, other than that I have no further details. Ivan died in 1992.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Burial Location for Ethel Taylor died Storthes Hall 1913
« on: Wednesday 26 April 17 15:27 BST (UK)  »
Good Afternoon

I am hoping someone may be able to shed some light as to the burial place of my Great Grandmother Ethel Taylor (maiden name Elivn).

A notice of her death 6th June 1913 was sent to her husband's address in Amey Street, Dewsbury. The notice advised
"if it be your intention to remove the body for internment and provide the Coffin, please inform me by return of post, otherwise arrangements will be made with the Union Authorities."

I have no idea whether or not the body was claimed, but I do not seem to be able to find any details regarding a burial for Ethel. I have a copy of Ethel's papers from Storthes Hall, but the details of burial are not amongst the paperwork.
Any help in solving this would be most appreciated.

Midlothian / Robert Campbell
« on: Friday 06 January 17 18:57 GMT (UK)  »
Good Evening Everyone

I am hoping someone can give a second opinion please.

I have a Robert Campbell born 1801 Logierat, parents James and Elizabeth Campbell. I have checked the 1851 Census and found only 1 born Logierat, so I have also checked how many Roberts born between 1799 and 1806 and there was only the 1. On the 1851 census Mountlothian PENICUICK Robert is aged 48, and has a wife Agnes born about 1815 Newbattle, children listed as Margaret aged 6,James aged 4, John aged 2 and Alexander aged 10 months. On the 1861 census PENICUICK Agnes is listed as the Head, John is aged 12, Alexander is 10, Agnes 6 and Robert aged 4. I am thinking that Robert may have died in/around 1857 but not sure where. I also think Agnes could be Agnes Kerr married to Robert in Penicuik June 1844.

Would it be safe to assume that this Robert belongs in my tree, any help would be most appreciated.

Evening All

I am hoping someone can help me establish whether Jean Chalmers married Joseph Gourlay in 1831 Currie is my Jean (daughter of Robert and Janet). I do not seem able to find a death for either Joseph or Jean on SP. I am wondering if they moved over seas. If I can establish parentage it would be most helpful.

Fife / Thomas Adamson Born 1847 Died 1943 Dunfermline
« on: Sunday 06 November 16 18:30 GMT (UK)  »
Good Evening

I am looking into a new line

Thomas Adamson born 1847 , son of Thomas Adamson and Janet Gould.

Thomas was married twice, firstly to Elizabeth McPherson, who was illegitimate, reputed father - Duncan McPherson and mother Margaret McLuille (?) afterwards Fotheringham. Elizabeth died June 6th 1890 aged 44 years Gardeners Land Dunfermline. His second wife Elizabeth Anderson daughter of Henry Anderson and Mary Moyes. Thomas was her second husband, her first being a John Hepburn an Insurance Agent. Elizabeth died September 29th 1906 at the Cottage Hospital Dunfermline.

I am hoping that some one could help with the census details and hopefully lead to children for both marriages, that's if there are any, and with information regarding parents and other marriages.

Many Thanks in advance.
