Pendleton Disaster late 50's early 60's

hi can anyone prompt me on an accident that happened at the top of langworthy road across the top of the hill in pendleton where a truck carrying
a huge pipe for the motorway broke its chains allowing the pipe to roll off and cause a major accident etc etc

i need this info to verify an element in my history search

Have you tried ringing Salford Family History Library on Salford Crescent - I am sure they will have some details on this there.
