Hi, Arrival'
you need to extrapolate maybe up to 12 weeks for those days to get departure.

Hi tigerbelle

I refer to your request on information for WALTERS

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,100703.0.html

William George ANDERSON son of William & Julia is registered in Victoria 1854.  Born Ballarat.

Which puts their arrival before 1854.

Cheers
Genni

Hi Tigerbelle,

It looks like they went very quickly after arrival to the gold fields.
Google 1854 Victorian Goldrush and you might find them involved in a very significant piece of Aust. history.

Sorry Trish,

I called you Chris, I was talking to someone else online and got confused.

 ::) ::)

No problem Tigerbelle  & by the time I got back online you had found everyone & presumably they were mixed up with the Eureka Stockade.

Hi Tigerbelle

Went to the Public Records of Office today, found the following information on the 'Briseis'

It Left Greenock on 22nd June 1855 with 16.5 passengers.  It was only allowed 20.  James Adams was the Master.

The Andersons were Scotch and occupation was given as Farmer.
Wm Geo was 14 months and Geo Wm was 3 months.

Cheers

Genni

Hi Genni,

This is an old post. But I found the same information as you from BDM.

However in the death record it has the father as Hy Jclien which is of course Julien (John) Henri Walters.

Maybe there was another son that they named William George Anderson and that they presumed the Julien was the father?
