McCONNOR CONNOR McNAUGHER

 :)
Hi to Donegal researchers,

My interests are McCONNOR, CONNOR and McNAUGHER, Drumhaggart Townland, Parish of Burt, Donegal.

Through a misunderstanding of Gaelic by English clerks the original name of McCONNOR became corrupted to McNAUGHER. I would like any information on McCONNOR, CONNOR before the 1840's in the above area (also Muff Parish and Upper and Lower Fahan and Inch). The names seemed to change about this time with some of my ancestors using both variants.

BEATTIE/BEATTY is another interest in Burt. My great grandparents died  young before 1901 and I would like to be able to locate the names of my grandmother's brothers. The children were brought up by various people of whom I know only a few.

Cheers

Hi Maggie

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you made any progress,  or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes
