Immigration to USA
« on: Friday 27 August 04 13:27 BST (UK) »
I am looking for records in ships logs of a Henry Pike, born 1857 in Somerset , England. I found one record of a Henry in 1875 coming to New York. But relatives say he came later. He was in 1871 census for Somerset but not 1881. So some time between 1871 and 1881 he migrated to America. Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Linda Hall

Pike is a name found in Clinton Co., New York.  That is upstate N.Y. if that helps.  Also check surrounding counties as families started to spread out in late 1800's.    Leagen
