Hmmm

Looking at the marriage record of John Steel and Isabel Haddon, it mentions a Thomas Steel and a Elizabeth Story

Thomas is definitely John's son, born 1749.

But who is Elizabeth Story? John has a daughter named Elizabeth, born in 1781, is this Elizabeth the witness in the marriage?

I have to admit, I cannot find a death date for Thomas Steel, baptised in 1749
