i've got the 1861 for essex if you want a look-up. quote the  piece/folio.
fields are:
NAME FORN AGE DWM [day/week/month ]PIECE   FOLIO   PARISH   **CTY [chapman code for city of birth] **BIRTH

***Special Note
To compensate for the non-existence of an 1851 census for the
Dunmow district, this index has been provided, exceptionally,
with additional information for each person - their county and
parish of birth.

Today I visited the churchyard at Holy Trinty Church, Takeley, and I found the following  headstone inscription

In Loving Memory Of
Mary Skingle, Who Died 14th September 1883, Aged 78 years
Also Of
Thomas Skingle, Son of the above, Who Died 12th April 1881, Aged 46 years

Mary I know was my GtGtGtGramndmother.
