So am I!!  But the Rootschat free website server has been down for several months, and we have no idea when it will be working again, so for now, there ain't nuffink to see

this is truly a grt topic. well done to prue and Jakky for getting this started. pity the site is still down so i cannot see the photos.
prue if you can check the originals for any robertson or Donaldson or Cropper names from scotland that would b great.

Just found this topic. You and Jakky have done a really great job give yourself a pat on the back. I read all the post with great excitement and could not what to see the photos. I have always loved old photos even as a very small child I could sit for hours looking at them, but the link is still down how disappointed I was.
Prue is there any Sutherland, Melrose, Mein or Hyslop from Scotland that I could give a very good home to.

What a lovely and generous idea, jakky. For Keith Bateman:  Polly could be a nickname for Mary. My grandmother was baptised Mary, but was known as Polly - which has really confused one family researcher and I cannot contact him to put him straight.
