1841 Census Please - Job ROSSITER
« on: Sunday 06 November 05 14:07 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I am trying to find the children of Job Rossiter born 1791 in Rode, Somerset. His wife Christina Paradise ( sometimes listed as Christiana or Catherine) was born circa 1785 in Frome ( I believe!!). They were married in Frome on March 10th 1819.

I have the names of some of the children ( John, George, Joseph & possibly a William) but have no details about them.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.TIA.

Best wishes

Hi Alli,

Thanks for that. Am surprised that Job was born out of county. Also can you check in the same area please for a William born 1829. He may have stayed with relatives or something.

Best wishes

Hi rcuser

I have come across your post today and I am descended from Job's son George. Are you related to Job. Unfortunately, I do not have any information about a William.

Welcome to  RootsChat.

This thread was last active in 2007 but I see the original poster was still active on the site in May this year so they may well pick up on your post.

You may have this but I will post it for your consideration as there was originally some uncertainty about Job's origins.
From Free Reg. Baptism. Job Rositer 19 April 1789. Lullington (All Saints). Parents James and Jane.

Hi,
Thanks for that. I have the marriage of James Rossiter and Jane Line on 31st July 1780 at Blessed Virgin Mary, Orchardleigh, Somerset but sadly have no other details about them.

Unfortunately about 8 months ago I had a stroke and haven't really done much research on this line and don't have birth dates for either James or Jane, nor do I know if they had children.

I'll have to re-read this again and do a bit more research but am hoping that I might be able to link them up to a family ot line or family in my database.

Sorry I cannot be of much help at present but if you have any further details about this family I'd appreciate any info you have. Hopefully I might be able to connect it to one of the over 50,000 Rossiter individuals in my database.

Stay safe. Have a good day. Best wishes, rcuser
