Hello Foxglove,

Any idea on what year Robert Pickering was born ? Maybe we can use this information to try the census returns. His trade would also be usefull to know as this would give us a few more options to try and to narrow down the search.

Hi,
Thanks for your interest -

 M  Robert PICKERING (AFN:160W-21P)  Pedigree

Born:  13 Feb 1819   Place:  Aughrim, Woods Chapel, Derry, Ireland

Have names of parents and siblings if that is of any use, but they all came to Canada. His brothers were all farmers.

I did try the UK 1881 and 1901 Census on-line but not any of the others.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

There are 69 Robert Pickering's so far indexed on the 1871,
but sadly not one of them was born in Ireland.

The 71 has not been fully indexed so he may appear later in a county not done yet.Unless of course he's been spelt wrongly :(

Don't know if anyone else has more info?
Hope you find him.

Carol
