Ledbury. 1841-1851 COMPLETED THANKS
« on: Sunday 06 November 05 22:27 GMT (UK) »
Hello,
Looking for info on John & Mary Wheel, & variants.eg
Wheale/Weel/Weal.
Married 1806, so both likely to be bn in the 1780`s.
Their younger children were born in Ledbury, Homend Rd.
Hoping they are still in the area in 1841 & possibly both or
one of them alive in 1851.
Thanks,
Hinton.

Hello Cal,
Thanks for all the info from 1841.. I dont know where to
start. I believe that Josh is probably my ancester Joseph.
I have no knowledge of 2 Hannahs. Hannah was the name of Josephs wife, so the 30yr old would be his wife.30 is
I will try to check out details of the younger one.
A few leads now for John & Mary, thankyou.
These are my direct descendants & possibly some of the
others listed are too.  Josephs youngest son & his wife eventually settled in Salford, & in 1901 they have disappeared leaving the younger children in the workhouse school. Their Mother returned later to feature in their lives.
Thanks again,
Hinton.

Hi Hinton
What a sad tale leaving the children in a workhouse!!
saying that my g grandfather put 3 of his girls in a convent when my g grandmother died and the family was completely split up most of the children emigrated except my grand father. Times were rough then
