Joseph Allison, interred Waverley Cemetery, Sydney
« on: Monday 07 November 05 04:22 GMT (UK) »
Hello,
Has anyone access to the records of Waverley Cemetery, Sydney. NSW.
I am interested in finding if Joseph Allison who may be interred there is the same as Joseph Allison born Ireland 1796.Transported 1839 on convict ship John Barry (5). Sheerness to Port Jackson. Ticket of leave 46/1127. Trial: Edinburgh 1838.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

HI Stewart,
I'm afraid I don't have burial records for Waverley, but I thought you might be interested in this site:
http://www.waverley.nsw.gov.au/cemetery/

...if you haven't seen it already.  There is an email address which might be useful for contacting the cemetery office if need be.

Do you have Joseph's death certificate?  Just wondering if that was where you got the burial info from?

Good luck!

Prue,
Thanks for your reply. I have since found out that the Joseph Allison interred at Waverley Cemetery is not the J. A. I am interested in,

Stewart
