Found this young lady on the 1901 Census index and wonder if someone could please look to see who she was living with


Ada (listed as Adam!) Welch born 1880 Hickley Dressmaker

William E Coale, 28, Railway Clerk, Bath
Gertrude Wife  26    Hinckley
Bernard son 4 mnths  Derby
Adam Walsh female 20 dressmaker  Hinckley

Coale is the indexers interpretation, mine is Coates
Many times the scribe does not cross his tees, he also
tails of the final s.

In 1891 William Coates 17 is a boarder  Railway clerk living at Warmley Keynsham
ref 1941 folio 139 page 15

In 1881 William Coates is with his widowed father James Coates born Newton St Loe
a builder employing 5 men. They are living in Twerton Somerset

1861 James Coates is living with his uncle James Wiltshire 76  a beer seller.
They are at Newton St Loe.

1851 Blagdon Somerset ref 1937 287 13
James Coates 20 Carpenter Chedder
Francis wife 29 drop maker Blagdon
Hannah Maria dau 4    Compton Martin
James son 11 months    Blagdon

Is Blagdon near Newton St Loe.

Superman who is he.

sorry to tell you but I do not have any idea who this family are - can only think that they are friends of the family as Ada's family all worked for the railway.  If I can find out I will let you know and put you out of your misery.
