Is there anyone with a Lyall interest who has information on Hendrie Lyall, born circa 1680 in Canisby or Sarclet? I am trying to link him securely to John Lyall born c.1706 and who married Helen McAin in Wick on 16/05/1732.   :)

Hi,

First time user but my roots go back to Hendrie and his son John. I have John married to Helen (Mearns/McCain/McAin) and they are the father of another John Lyall. I do not have any details of Hendrie's wife.

Would you have a Alexander Lyall who married a Isabel Mowatt in 1773, Caithness, on your tree?
I have a line of Lyall's from the Caithness area.  Plus another from Dundee (father's side).

LOL I have a Uncle David Lyall here in New Zealand, must be a few of you out there?

Yes, I'm afraid that there are a lot of us about!!

Unfortunately I do not have an Alexander Lyall nor Isabel Mowatt.
