Well there is this family but many of the children seem to be missing from it, I'll look fror them separately in case they are with grandparents

That Ann doesn't seem to fit with older children, she might have been too young yet I can't find another family nor the older children.  Have you got them in 1861 since i can't find them there either?  Tried England too.  Could Francois have been married twiced?

The family came to Australia in 1856, so they won't be in the 1861. They were married in St Helier in 1840. I am unaware of two marriages.

I think I gave you the wrong family before, this one seems more likely transcribed Touzet although it clearly says Touzel

Thanks again Mary. Definitely sounds like "my" family. I have never found out much about Mary. Maybe she died as an infant. Thanks for all your help. (Anne Henriette was my great grandmother).
