« on: Friday 18 November 05 10:55 GMT (UK) »
Hi there,
I wonder if a different pair of eyes can help ?
I am working on the HAY family tree and having problems finding the following in the 1881 census -

William Hay born Alveley Shropshire abt  1844

John Hay born Alveley Shropshire abt 1852

George Hay born Alveley Shropshire about 1855

:) :)  Any help or advice much appreciated  :) :)

What do you know about them? Any children they should have? Any occupations we could look for?

The only William is William A , b Alveley 1853, living at 4 Court No 2, Edgbaston, Warwickshire, England, a corn miller, with wife Emily and daughters Florence and Frances.

The only John from Alveley was b 1845, and is at Love Green, Iver, Buckinghamshire, a gardener/dom servant, with wife Martha and children Alfred, Esther, Herbert, and Sydney, all born in different parts of the country so it looks as though the travelled around a lot.

Hope this helps.
Dave
