Looking for information on John Lawrence (1818-1898) and family
John Lawrence of Dderw, Rhayader, married Sarah Rowland(s) at Abbeycwmhir in 1842.
From the late 1840s the family lived at Pencaehaidd, Nant Gwyllt near Cwmdauddwr, Rhayader and raised the following family:
Sarah: Born 1843
John: Born 1845.
Eliza: Born 1847
Margaret: Born 1849
Caroline: Born 1850
Winifred: Born 1851
Jacob: Born 1852.
Martha: Born 1854
Jane: Born 1865
Richard: Born 1858
John Lawrence worked as a shepherd for the Lewis Lloyd family of Nant Gwyllt for 50 years. He died in an accident while working for them in 1898.
