Hi Nick.

 Probably no different than today. I have found some young mums in my own family. I will have a dig around and see what I can find.
 Hemel is about 40 miles from here(Milton Keynes) but the blast woke us up.Sounded like thunder rumbling.

Probably not linked to yours - but my grandparents were good friends with a Wingrove family and guess where they lived - Tylers Green!  (late 1900's though)  Slightly spooky all the same.

As far as I know most of my Wingrove relatives were living in London by that time

Hello, I'm unsure if you will get this reply as it was so long ago you posted. I too have Wingroves in my tree from Tylers Green, one of them married into the Adams family, my gggg (I think) grandfather.
