Could I beg a look-up of the 1851 census for George Townley Fullam, born in Hull in 1841, please.  I need to know about his parents and background.
Thanks.

I'd love the 1861, please.  I'm researching Fullam because he's famous for having served on the CSS Alabama in the American Civil War and writing a journal about it.  I think he's supposed to have joined up when he was 21, so was he still in England in 1861?

No, he doesn't sem to be in England in 1861 anymore. Can't find his brothers either, actually.

Here's the 1861 entry:
Kingston upon Hull Holy Trinity, ref. as above
13 Osborne Street 'Navigation school'

George T Fullam, head, 45, Teachr of navigation, b. Hull Holy Trinity
Ann, wife, 46, b. On board HMS 'Dasher' River Thames
Sarah, dau, 12, scholar, b. Durham Sunderland
Ellen F, dau, 10, scholar, b. Hull Holy Trinity

Are you a relative of George Townley Fulham?
If you are a member of our family I would send you a invitation to our family site which is only open to members of our greater family diaspora. We do not accept people who are not of our DNA related family.

I am the amateur Editor of our greater family site I have information of his direct Fullam forebears of 1600 City of Dublin, and their ancestors back to 1220's City of London and his Townley forebears in Lancashire also back to their Norman origins.

Fullam, I've just come back to this because by a weird coincidence I am now researching inmates of the Hull Charterhouse, where I live, and George T. Fullam died there in 1883.  If there is information of mutual interest, I'd love to share it.  For instance, would it be fair to say that it was Ann who was the expert in navigation rather than her husband, who had been a customs weigher?
