MICHAEL BOYLE was born abt 1871, he had a brother JOHN & SARAH  according to IGI. The info posted by AUDREY is my MICHAEL BOYLE and his parent, thankyou AUDREY.
MICHAELS'S daughter, who is still alive says that her father left Ireland after his mother and father JOHN & ANNE were murdered by the BLACK & TANS, she also said they owned land, she also says that MICHAEL'S brother settled in SAN FRANCISCO, USA. Great auntie BETTY is known for her stories though.
MICHAEL came over to ARDROSSAN, AYRSHIRE, SCOTLAND, at abt the age of 15 and passed away abt 1955 having worked all his life as a DOCKER at ARDROSSAN HARBOUR.
This is all i know abt him. :)

HI PAT,

Thanks for info.

THOMAS maybe a relative of MICHAEL'S, poss an uncle but this cant be proven.
My minimum research for CARLINGFORD, CO LOUTH tells me that the Boyle name is numerous and therefore makes my task more difficult.

I am very interested in John and Michael Boyle.  I am researching the same names but my Michael was born about 1800, I believe that his father was John Boyle. My Michael immigrated to Canada from Ireland about 1830??? possibly from Tyrone.  His first wife was a Miss ________ Lindsay/sey and second wife was Jane Carter.  Any of this link to your Boyle's?  My Michael is also my brickwall.

An update on Michael Boyle FROM CARLINGFORD.

Michael was born 30/12/1871 to John Boyle and Anne Fearon (unmarried), they also had a son John and daughter Sarah twins born 1866. Michaels parents did not get murdered by the black and tans as the timeline does not fit. I have found out that Michaels parents did get married in 1874.

My next challenge is to find out what happened to John and Anne and there children John and Sarah.

I was wondering if anything ever came of this? I'm looking for someone who's grandad was called Michael Boyle originally from Ireland then ended up in ardrossan.
