I have just come across this site and I have high hopes already.
I am looking for Simpson's in Carlisle who have connections in the Botchergate area of Carlisle.
Family names include Abraham, and they have lived in and around the area in all the census's as most of the men were employed by the railway.
Also does anyone know how I would go about finding Railway employment records etc for family members. I know that the BBC 2 programme "Who do you think you are" traced the actress, Sue Johnson's grandfather and his employment at the station.
Any help anyone can offer would be great.
