Baffled as to lack of response. Are you a direct descendant of Charles Lane? Or is he is another type of relative, as you are in Cumbria rather than Australia?

Wow Im so sorry for the delay in getting back to you, james lane the father of Charles lane was my 4th great grandfather. I have visited St Jame's church at Cameley and also the old Clutton workhouse which is now devided up into private flats. My Paternal grandmother was Esther Lane (Hetty) who live in Llanhilleth South Wales

RootsChat guidelines for posting advise - "Please do not include personal contact details in
postings.
This includes e-mail addesses, postal addresses, telephone numbers, etc" - it would be best if
you removed your e-mail address.
