Ellen (Helen) Ross, DOB 18 Aug 1800 in Alness, died 26 Nov 1861 at Asyant.  She married Thomas Dingwall in 1823.  Ellen Ross is my G/G/Grandmother and I have been trying, without success, to find out the names of her parents and also the names of other siblings in her family.

I notice you also have a Munro as well as your Dingwall & Ross. Probably not of much help to you but I have a Donald Munro born about 1805 & married Catherine Dingwall in 1831 in Rosskeen.
I have exactly the same problem as you in that I cannot find Donald's parents or siblings

:)  The lost has been found.  The parents of Ellen Ross are Findlay Ross of Auchleach and her mother was Catherine Munro of Cnocancurn.
