Research in Slovakia and E. Europe
« on: Saturday 31 December 05 11:41 GMT (UK) »
In  the Ancestry Daily News from 28.12.2005 their is an article by Lisa Alzo about searching for Slovak relatives.
http://www.ancestry.com/learn/library/article.aspx?article=10805&o_iid=20918&o_lid=20918

She provides various links for Czechoslovakia, and other E. European countries.

For instance:
The Czechoslovak Genealogical Society International (CGSI) at  http://www.cgsi.org/
Quote
The society serves to promote Czechoslovak genealogical research with ancestry in the Czechoslovak region as it was in 1918, including families of Czech, Bohemian, Moravian, Slovak, German, Hungarian, Jewish, Rusyn, and Silesian origin. Learn about travel resources, the Czech and Slovak Archives, and available professional researchers.

I've not had time to browse throught them (as usual !) but it looks like there is a lot of useful links here.
