Under age?
« on: Monday 02 January 06 08:09 GMT (UK) »
Hi, l wonder if anyone can help me? l have a copy of my 3xGrandfather's discharge papers and it states that George Nash joined the 61st reg of foot in Sep 1839 but it says that from 29th Sep 1839 untill 23 March 1840 George was "Under Age" am l right in presuming that George would have been 18 on the 24th March?(l know he was born in 1822)

Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated.

Kind Regards

Robert
