I possess silver Trophy/Mug with inscription above...Who was E.Gater that won Walking Prize on 14th September 1876
Was the recipient a male or female ? Did this person live in Flintshire Wales, Chester,Liverpool or Manchester?
Are there any newspaper reports of the times ?
The cup/mug is inscribed E.Gater Walking Prize.....perhaps E.Gater was the donor and not the winner !!!!
