That would probably be Freddie Blackall who my late mother used to work for and, I think, was either in competition with, or, friends with my late father.

Further info - The Ringers started life as a cottage in the 16th century but may not have become a beerhouse until 1896, when it passed into the hands of John Fuller who was a brewer.  This is from a book by a local historian, so I'm not sure how that fits with the 1871 census info.

The Ringers was a beerhouse in 1873 and no doubt prior to that. The Windsor and Eton Express published on 26 April 1873 shows:

'The Licence of The Ringers, Bray, was also transferred from Mr William Moore to Mr Joseph Deadman'
