Looking for information on John Cavanagh.

I have an Australian marriage certificate that shows birth place Ardnagnon Co, Galway.  Parents Patrick Cavanagh (Farmer) and Ellen Kelly.  He was 26 when he married in1868.

Trying to find out how he came to Australia and any other info on his family.

Is Ardnagno in Kiltartan barony Killinny civil parish Gort PLU?
You need the parish records. What religion was it?

Looking for John Cavanagh.

Australian Death Certificate shows born Killvarragh, Galway, Ireland.
34 years in Australia.  Parents Patrick Cavanagh (Labourer) Ellen Kelly
Religion most likely Roman Catholic.

Married Mary Gardner in Australia

Would have arrived in Australia about 1858.
Can anyone help

The parish records for Kinvara catholic parish are available for baptisms from 1831 with gaps in the National Library in Dublin, and on film at your local family history centre.

http://scripts.ireland.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm?fuseaction=showidrecords&CityCounty=Galway&CityCounty=East%20Galway&parish=Kinvara&churchid=632

I think one gap is when your ancestor may hae been baptised but you may find siblings.
