Can someone tell me how to find details of an inquest held in Weston-super-Mare in 1877?  Constance Hitchins murdered by her brother Ernest.  Any information very welcome

Hi there,

It is a problem that many coroners inquest notes dont survive however the local newspaper will undoubtedly carry something on this topic.  This may mean visiting the local library or ringing them also try the old bailey online website and the black sheep site I dont have the addies for these but I am sure someone online will have

Here is the web ad for Black Sheep.
I found a Constance Hitchings listed for 1877 in Weston Super Mare.
The site has instructions on how to send for the info.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Rob and India -
Found old bailey site, it's at www.oldbaileyonline.org, looks interesting but only covers trials up to 1834 too early for me.  I've just visited black sheep index, what a great site, willl order details of Constance.
Thanks for your help, Ecneps
