I'm getting carried away  ::)
There are 2 Herbert Hudson's born Wolverhampton ca. 1850 through the census returns so I guess we'll have to be careful.
However, in 1871, he's already married so this should be him:
RG10/3136 20 31
Aston Deritend
Moseley Street
6 House 17 Court

Herbert Hudson, head, 21, Iron Brasier?, b. Stafford Wolverhampton
Rose, wife, 20, b. Warwick Birmingham
Elizabeth, dau, 8 mo?, b. do.
Henry Wicks, brother, unm, 23, Tube? worker, b. do.
John Wicks, brother, unm, 18, Iron Caster, b. do.
Sophia Wicks, sister, unm, 13, scholar, b. do.
William Duffield, lodger, unm, 17, Brass filer, b. do.

The Wicks' being born in Birmingham, I guess they should be down as in-laws.

I think the Fred WHEEKES you have in 1901 (did I spell that right?) is actually WHICKES - didn't think it was significant at the time!

Should I chase Joseph back a bit further?  Didn;t want to overwhelm Ann!!

Back in a bit...

Ok, I realize THIS is the new thread. Let's continue here.

Couldn't find Sophia Wheekes/Wicks and siblings in 1861 to see how they really fit in...

Is it a marriage cert you have? Are there any interesting witnesses on it?

I think it's me - I agree this is all very much info to take in.

Marriage certs don't give father's addresses, do they? A shame of course Alfred didn't marry from 9 Alcester Street.

Wonder who this Ellen Hudson is  ???
