Can anyone read this?
« on: Saturday 07 January 06 14:08 GMT (UK) »
Can you read the first name of the witness Anderson?  It seems like a shortened version of something.

Thank you

Goodness that was quick.  I hope it is Alexander as that would mean we have found a birth.

Thank you

Hi Sylviaann

I think it must be, the Al are clear and so is the little R at the end, unless someone can think of another name worthy of being shortened that would fit.

Well one of the children was Alexander so I would guess that is right.  There is a birth of about the right date for Jane on IGI with father Alexander.  No mother unfortunately.

Well that's one more step.  But have you seen how many Alexander Andersons there are!!!

Thanks a lot.  Will keep plodding on

Thanks again
