Hi Vivian,

The family name Thake is part of a conundrum for a friend of mine.

He has a suspicion/belief that his family, the Wents, and the Thakes are in someway more than linked. He may even have a name change from Thake to Went or a man who, in 1900, was alternatively married to two women at one time!

Is there anything you know that could explain this? Does it ring any bells? The Thakes were from Widford and the Wents from Shoreditch - just about daily trvelling distance in 1900!?

I look forward to your thoughts.
