Trainor or Traynor @ Kilavaney

Recently came to light in 20yr old correspondence with a family member, mention of the following record from the Kilavaney Church Baptismal Register;

2nd September 1822, Luke of Thomas Traynor and Mary Connors.

This would knock over a brick wall for me if this could be confirmed and if  the same records also showed Luke to have brothers Patrick (born about 1825) and Thomas (born about 1836).   It would also mean that I have finally found my G-G-Grandparents to be Thomas Trainor and Mary Connors!

I don't have access to these records, so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regarding your ancestors TRAINOR & TRAYNOR
Which is a very old Irish name.
My ancestors who are McGRAYNOR & McGRAINOR.
I went to visit Bray library in Ireland.
I was looking at  book on old Irish names and it
Mentioned McGRAYNOR & McGRAINOR came from
The names TRAYNOR & TRAINOR.
All my ancestors came from Wicklow, Ireland.

Sorry its been quite so long in replying to you.
My G-G Grandfather Thomas Mcgrainor, who was born about 1820.
He lived in Rathdrum, County Wicklow. His son Patrick Mcgrainor was
Also born 1843 in Avondale, Rathdrum, and was married June 1866 at
St. Patrick's Church R.C. Wicklow Town. County Wicklow. Eire.
I find that there are so many ways of spelling the names such as
McGrainor, McGraynor, McGrenor, Traynor, Trainor, which mean the same.

Hi George - no problems
Actually it is starting to become really interesting - my family of Trainors also had some baptisms in Rathdrum.
Esther Trainor (nee Nolan) was baptised in Rathdrum and her children were baptised in Aughrim, Baltinglass, Tinnakilly etc.
Will try to obtain more info and post.

Hi Ashe., my mother was a Traynor her father was Michael son of Thomas Traynor b.1831 married Bridget Byrne  who had five children, Michael b.1863 Luke1865 Edward1869-1870 Maria 1871and Ceclia 1874-1874. My mother had a brother Luke. The family were from Rednagh, Aughrim 
are listed in the parish of Kilavaney.
